We produce fair and high quality eyewear that we believe doesn't have to cost a fortune. Our glasses are designed in our design lab in Zurich, produced in selected manufactories, assembled in our in-house workshops and sold in our VIU stores and online. This direct distribution channel allows us to save unnecessary costs and offer the best quality at a very fair price.
Just the way you are, you deserve to feel good every day – and even better. That's why our focus is on you. By perfectly combining design and functionality, our eyewear gives your character space to express itself without changing it.
A certain understatement and a focus on the essentials – the principles of Swiss design can be felt in all our products and in our stores. We focus on what really makes the difference between an average and an outstanding product, minimizing the use of materials to the bare essentials. In this way, we create a unique and resource-saving selection of eyewear in which the perfect pair of glasses can be found for every character.
All our frames are made in selected eyewear manufactories from high-quality materials and assembled in our own workshops. For example, our acetate collection has been produced by a family business in the Italian Dolomites since the company was founded in 2013. Our titanium collection, on the other hand, is manufactured on the Japanese island of Honshu, as this is where the world's leading manufactories in titanium processing are located. In close and personal collaboration with our long-standing production partners, we are continuously developing our products to find innovative and more sustainable solutions for even more durable products.
Since our founding in 2013, responsible and sustainable action has been a top priority for us. With our VIU RE initiative, we are committed to conscious consumption and sustainable change in the eyewear industry – and are actively working to continuously improve, especially in terms of sustainability. The RE Collection made of innovative Acetate Renew is a first step towards an even more responsible future. By 2025, we will convert our entire acetate collection to this sustainable material - which consists of 96% sustainable components.
